Ana Cabaleiro
Ana Cabaleiro, born in Saídres, Silleda, in 1974, is a Galician journalist and writer. She holds a degree in Journalism from the University of Santiago de Compostela and also pursued a master's in Theoretical and Comparative Studies of Literature and Culture. She has contributed to media outlets such as Sermos Galiza and the Boletín Galego de Literatura
She made her literary debut with the book of stories Sapos e Sereas in 2017. Her first novel, As Ramonas (2018), earned her the García Barros Award and was a finalist for the San Clemente Prize. In 2021, she published Deixádenos remar, a finalist for the Xerais Novel Prize 2020. In 2023, she introduced Xa vemos palmeiras, the result of the "Shukran" project, awarded the I Exeria Prize for literary creation.
