Pino Aprile
Piino Aprile (Gioia del Colle, 1950) is a prominent Italian journalist and writer whose career has left a deep mark on the cultural and political landscape of his country. As a journalist, he worked for RAI and led major publications such as Oggi and Gente, in addition to conducting exclusive reports from Albania under Enver Hoxha's regime and witnessing the fall of the Berlin Wall. His literary work, which began in 1997 with an initial version of Elogio del imbécil, reached an extraordinary dimension with Terroni (2010), a critical analysis of the Italian unification and the southern question that has sold more than half a million copies. In Spanish, Elogio del error (2003) has also been published.
