Con ocasión del 75 cumpleaños de Cees Nooteboom, Rüdiger Safranski recopiló esta selección de textos extraídos de novelas, relatos, poesías y ensayos de viajes del autor, amigo suyo desde hace muchos años. Estos textos nos muestran en conjunto a un Nooteboom romántico –con ironía y sin ella–, un poeta filósofo, testigo políticamente atento, nómada moderno y escritor que no sólo reflexiona sobre la relación entre los viajes reales y los imaginarios, sino que también la vive.
