Alberto Chimal is a Mexican writer who has primarily focused on short stories and novels. He has also taught creative writing as a professor and popularizer. He is cataloged as "one of the main exponents of Ibero-American fantasy literature". In addition to novels, short stories, and books for children and young adults, he has published essays, writing manuals, and comics, and has worked as a translator and film scriptwriter.
