Rafael Dumett
Rafael Dumett, born in Lima in 1963, is a prominent Peruvian playwright and novelist whose work combines a solid academic and artistic background. He studied Linguistics at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru and Theater both at the University Theater and at La Sorbonne, Paris, acquiring a comprehensive view of performing arts and narrative.

In the theatrical field, he has written works such as "AM/FM" (1985), "Real Numbers" (1991), "The Final Judgment" (1997), and "Camasca" (2019), the latter awarded with the British Theater Award We Put Your Play on Stage. Additionally, he ventured into cinema as a screenwriter for the feature film "Both" (2005), expanding his versatility as a creator.

In 2022, he debuted as a novelist with "The Inca's Spy", a work that combines historical fiction and narrative mastery, establishing itself as one of the most acclaimed novels in the Spanish-speaking world. His most recent publication, "Comrade Jorge and the Dragon" (2024), reaffirms his literary talent and his ability to address complex themes with depth and sensitivity.

He currently resides in San Francisco, where he continues to develop his literary and theatrical work, establishing himself as a key figure in contemporary Peruvian and international culture.
