Manuel Vilas
(Barbastro, 1962) is the author of six poetry collections and his lyrical work has been compiled in Amor (2010), in Poesía completa (2016), and in Una sola vida (2022). His narrative work begins with España, followed by Aire nuestro, Los inmortales, El luminoso regalo, and the storybooks Zeta and Setecientos millones de rinocerontes.
He is the author of the travel book América, of Listen to me, and of Lou Reed era español. His novel Ordesa (2018) was translated into more than twenty languages and chosen as the book of the year by Babelia and won the Femina Prize, awarded in France to the best foreign novel. Alegría (2019), translated into several languages, was a finalist for the Planeta Prize. In 2021 he published Los besos. Nosotros is his most recent novel and has been awarded the Nadal Prize for Novel 2023.
He collaborates with El País and other media.
