Synopsis "Dandadan, Vol. 17"

A nerd must fight powerful spirits and aliens all vying for the secret power of his “family jewel,” so who better to fight alongside him than his high school crush and a spirit granny?!

Momo Ayase and Okarun are on opposite sides of the paranormal spectrum regarding what they’ll believe in and what they won’t. Their quest to prove each other wrong leads them down a path of secret crushes and paranormal battles they’ll have to participate in to believe!

Momo has fallen into a cursed diorama that’s laid out like a giant game board. There, she meets a guy named Zuma—the same Zuma who stole Okarun’s family jewel! The two of them team up to retrieve said jewel after Zuma drops it in enemy territory. Now they’ve got to fight some frogs and a giant chef to get it back. Meanwhile, in the outside world, Okarun clashes with Zuma’s friends over how best to rescue them!

Yukinobu Tatsu is a Japanese mangaka

Tatsu is particularly famous for the success of Dan Dan Dan, one of the shonen that have gained greater global relevance in recent years, something that increased with its adaptation to anime

Like many mangaka, he is very private about his personal life and does not even have an official photo

Since his childhood, he was a great fan of drawing. In addition to this, he was a baseball fanatic

During his high school years, he began to invent and draw stories inspired by those of his favorite authors. In particular, he was influenced by works such as Bersek by Kentaro Miura, Spriggan by Ryoji Minagawa, and Akira by Katsuhiro Otomo

After finishing his compulsory studies, he started working as a clerk in a convenience store. He spent his idle time drawing at the counter. According to Tatsu, it was the store manager himself who encouraged him to try his luck in the world of manga, as he appreciated his talent for drawing

Tatsu drew a hundred-page manga with a pen about the characters of Gundam, a famous Japanese science fiction franchise that has produced animated films, series, comics, and video games. He managed to catch the attention of an editor, who recommended him to start his learning in the world of manga working as an assistant to more mature and expert creators

Thus, Tatsu became an assistant to mangakas like Yudai Sono, Yuji Kaku, and Tatsuki Fujimoto, the latter one of the stars of the medium of his generation, thanks to the immense success of works like Chainsaw Man.
