Spencer Johnson
American author, Spencer Johnson was a writer and psychologist born in Mitchell, South Dakota, in 1938 and died in Encinitas, San Diego, in 2017. He graduated in Psychology from the University of Southern California in 1963, earning a doctorate in Medicine at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.
He is best known for the international success Who Moved My Cheese? and for The One Minute Manager, a book dedicated to personal management inspired by business management, along with advisor Kenneth Blanchard. His work has been translated into more than twenty different languages.
Johnson was president of Candle Communication Corporation and medical director of communication at Medtronic, the company that invented pacemakers, and a researcher for the Institute for Interdisciplinary Studies, among many other positions, and his books have appeared in various media, from CNN to publications such as USA Today or the New York Times.
