Álvaro Matus

Álvaro Matus is a Chilean writer and graphic designer born in Santiago in 1981. In 2016, he published the noir comic "El Corvo Beltrán", nominated as "Best Chilean Comic" at the Fic Awards 2017. Since 2012, he has been running the blog Grotesque & Arabesque, focused on biographies of serial killers and psychopaths, with more than 90 cases documented. In 2018, he published his first book, "Human Monsters: the twisted nature of serial killers", consolidating his place in the true crime and noir narrative genre. Among his novels are: "Freakshow: five circus stories" (2021) or "Human Monsters: the forgotten children of the devil" (2023)
