He earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Utah, an MBA from Harvard, and a PhD in Religious Education from Brigham Young University, where he also taught. Covey was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held various leadership roles within the organization. His most iconic work, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People (1989), revolutionized business literature by consolidating principles of proactivity, vision, prioritization, and synergy, and has sold over 25 million copies in 52 languages.
