Sofía Aguerre
Sofía Aguerre (Montevideo, 1993) is a Uruguayan writer, style corrector, editor, and translator, known for her outstanding work in children's and young adult literature. From an early age, she showed a deep passion for letters, influenced by her family environment and her love for reading.

Her literary career took off with the publication of The Moons of March, a fantasy novel she began writing at 16. This work marked the beginning of a trilogy that continued with The Lost Nights, released in 2024, and is complemented by stories that expand her narrative universe. In 2022, her novel Felicia and the Forgotten Forests received second place in the Children's and Young Adult Literature category of the National Literature Awards from the Ministry of Education and Culture of Uruguay. Additionally, Adagio won the first prize in the Juan Carlos Onetti literary contest 2021 in the same category.

Besides her work as a writer, Aguerre has actively participated in literary initiatives and reading clubs, and currently co-organizes the Mega Writing Marathon, promoting collaborative writing and reading encouragement in her community.

Her narrative style is characterized by the exploration of imaginary worlds and the creation of deep characters, addressing universal themes with sensitivity and creativity. With an international projection, her works have been presented at the Buenos Aires International Book Fair and are available in several Spanish-speaking countries.
