Bill Crabtree began coloring comics in 2003, on the title Firebreather by Phil Hester and Andy Khun, before being enlisted by Robert Kirkman and Cory Walker to color Invincible, which was nominated for the Harvey Award
He soon became a highly sought-after colorist at Image Comics and, eventually, also took over the title The Savage Dragon by Erik Larsen. Despite his relatively short career, he has already lent his color palette to Grey Area, by John Romita Jr., and to the Marvel Comics miniseries Fantastic Four: Foes, as well as various projects for DC Comics
Possibly the most notable work of his career has been his role as colorist on the regular series nominated for the Eisner in 2012 The Sixth Guns, from the sixth issue, for Oni Press. Since then, the artist has been described as Christmas morning, but with firearms
He currently works in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where, when he is not entertaining the ladies, he spends most of his time coloring.
