Synopsis "Conciencia Moral y Accion Comunicativa (in Spanish)"

A pesar de su origen diverso, los cuatro ensayos que forman este volumen constituyen una unidad de contenido. En el primero Habermas elabora las tesis para una división del trabajo entre las investigaciones empíricas y las filosóficas, alentado por el ejemplo de la epistemología Genútica de Jean Piaget. En el segundo ensayo la teoría de la moral de Lawrence Kohlberg sirve a Habermas como modelo para aclarar la interpretación de las explicaciones causales y las reconstrucciones en función de hipótesis. El tercer trabajo, escrito con motivo de un homenaje a Karl-Otto Apel, pretende ayudar a esclarecer la propuesta de la Útica discursiva. El último, en fin, es una contribución a la división del trabajo planteada desde la asunción de que el desarrollo de una Útica discursiva no es una tarea autosuficiente.

Jürgen Habermas (Düsseldorf, 1929) is a German philosopher and sociologist, considered one of the most influential figures in contemporary critical theory and the main representative of the second generation of the Frankfurt School. His work spans political philosophy, ethics, legal theory, and philosophy of language. Among his most notable contributions are the theory of communicative action, discourse ethics, and the concept of deliberative democracy.

Among his most important works are The Theory of Communicative Action (1981), Between Facts and Norms (1992), and A History of Philosophy (2019). Habermas has been recognized with numerous international awards, such as the Prince of Asturias Award for Social Sciences (2003), the Kyoto Prize (2004), the Holberg Prize (2005), the Erasmus Prize (2013), and the Johan Skytte Prize in Political Science (2024).
