Fernanda Acuña
Fernanda Acuña is a distinguished psychological consultant and Argentine therapist specialized in the Focusing approach, a technique developed by Eugene Gendlin that facilitates access to internal wisdom through attentive listening to bodily sensations. She was born in Buenos Aires and trained as a public English translator at the Catholic University of Argentina. Additionally, she graduated from the Argentine Institute of Humanistic Psychology and Holos Capital Counseling, with a postgraduate degree in Personal Development.

Acuña obtained her certification as a Focusing Trainer and Focusing Oriented Therapist (FOT) in 2002, in a training given by Eugene Gendlin, Mary McGuire, and Janet Klein in Stony Point, New York. Her book Focusing. A Process Towards Integrity, published by Sinopsis in 2011, is a key work in the Spanish-speaking world. In it, Acuña explores how bodily sensations can reveal deep information about our emotional state and how this process can facilitate self-knowledge and healing.

In addition to her work as an author, Acuña is a teacher and supervisor in the field of Focusing, contributing to the training of new professionals in this discipline. Her integrative and humanistic approach has influenced numerous therapists and individuals interested in personal development.
