Synopsis "Antigone (in German)"

Kreon ist der neue Tyrann von Theben. Sein verstorbener Neffe Polyneikes hat Krieg gegen die eigene Stadt geführt, also verbietet Kreon seine Bestattung. Antigone hält sich nicht an das Verbot - sie hält ohnehin wenig vom neuen Tyrannen. Kreon kann das nicht gut auf sich sitzen lassen und so lässt er Antigone, die übrigens die Tochter des Ödipus ist, einmauern. Das wiederum löst den ein oder anderen Suizid aus: Antigone nimmt sich das Leben, daraufhin sieht auch ihr Verlobter Haimon keinen Sinn mehr im Leben.
