I turned to early childhood development educators for confirmation that writing a series of books for children on the importance of protecting and preserving the environment was appropriate and not beyond age levels. There was resounding encouragement and a sense of urgency that these books were needed now. Children can have fun learning about the environment. "Be Kind to the Environment" is a user friendly and fun teaching aid that encourages discussion, will help clarify current issues, give a better understanding of the environment, and offer options we can all choose to live in a kinder world.
