Synopsis "Benoy Badal Dinesh"

Revolutionary movements across India were not isolated incidents. The biplobi groups from Delhi, Lahore, UP, Maharashtra and Bengal were in close touch with one another, and often coordinated their operations. Benoy, Badal, and Dinesh, the heroes of famous 'Battle of Verandah', picked up from where Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, and Rajguru left off ─ afterwards, others came forward to carry the mantle ─ thus continued the struggle. Hence, looking at Benoy, Badal, and Dinesh in isolation won't do justice to their true legacy. So this book looks at an entire period. In the time between1928 and 1933 the armed revolutionaries made a great push to drive the foreigners out of India ─ their fierce assaults complemented the non-violent movements that ran in parallel. In 1928 Subhas Chandra Bose facilitated the amalgamation of many revolutionary groups in Bengal under one banner - Bengal Volunteers. The book tells the story of how these groups got organized, recruited members, sourced their arms and how they planned and executed one after another daring attacks on government. It tells the tales of brotherhood and ultimate sacrifice that never fail to inspire us. Contrary to popular belief, British people were very scared of these fearless warriors, who, despite their limited means, took on the mighty empire and eliminated scores of European officers─ many more white men, in fear, packed their bags and left India for good. Armed freedom fighters taught British Government to be careful while dealing with the peaceful demonstrators. Every act of oppression or brutality was responded in kind. It was the revolutionaries who burst the myth of Her Majesty's Empire in India, and provided the much needed mental currency to the peaceful demonstrators. This is the story of Benoy, Badal, and Dinesh.
