Case studies can be an excellent tool to deepen one’s understanding of and commitment to personal and institutional values. These internalize commitments to doing the right thing, at least for those of us with an ethical backbone, will diminish actions counter to the espoused values of the institution, and to one’s self. Therefore, one of the primary purposes for the utilization of case studies is to enhance the abilities of leaders to lead more effectively.
