Die 'Lutherbibel' in der Fassung von 1912 war lange Zeit die amtliche Übersetzung zum Gebrauch im evangelischen Gottesdienst, und sie dient bis heute als maßgebliche Referenz für Bibel-Zitate. 1534 lag Martin Luthers Bibel-Übersetzung ins Deutsche erstmals vollständig vor, seither wurde sie sprachlich vielfach überarbeitet. Jenseits aller historischen oder modernisierten Ausgaben ist dies die ebenso verlässliche wie gut lesbare 'klassische' Fassung mit zahlreichen Illustrationen.
