Synopsis "Ezekiel's Wheels"

Shell Foster's relationship with Leonard Harris began on a whim after the dissolution of her first marriage. Both Shell and Len realize after three years together their end is near. Shell is resigned, but Leonard is determined to fight. Shell prepares to make a weekend journey to find the legendary Hornet Spooklight, a supernatural haunt of the Ozarks. The Cherokee Indians removed to Oklahoma on the Trail of Tears are aware of the tragedy that belies the mysterious light, and refuse to go anywhere near. But Shell's infatuation with the legend draws from a spiritual inheritance she does not yet fully grasp, and she decides the time has come to seek out its enigmatic source. A legion of bad omens on the passage to the Spooklight caution Shell from her design, but she continues on the road with Leonard in tow. When they finally discover the iniquitous light, the fiery conclusion propels them to a catastrophic fate.
