Hugh "Sonny" Peery was one of America's respected agriculture teachers and farmers. He was awarded the Honorary Future Farmers of America (FFA) degree for his dedicated service to FFA and agriculture education on a national level. He was a devoted husband to Carolyn, and together they raised four children on their family farm.
