The immensity and extent of unending formations were an invitation to walk amongst rocks that fired our imagination as we discovered new corners of this eroded basin.The beauty of Ischigualasto and Talampaya is the main reason that draws the traveler here to enjoy this unique terrain.We inquired into and studied the cause of the remarkable colours and shapes. Millions of years ago, clay, sand, alluvial debris and volcanic ash deposits flowed into the basin. Compression turned these sediments into strata that in time surfaced when the Andes were formed during the next era.'
