Synopsis "Mohr und die Raben von London (in German)"

London 1856: Karl Marx, von seinen Freunden »Mohr« genannt, lernt den dreizehnjährigen Joe Kling kennen, dessen Familie in erdrückender Armut lebt. Der Junge arbeitet in einer Baumwollspinnerei, zwölf Stunden täglich. Sein Bruder Billy geht als Anführer der »Rabenbande« seinen eigenen Weg. Er meint, Joe über dessen neue Bekanntschaft aufklären zu müssen: »Ein Mann mit Silberknauf am Stock und mit Zylinderhut und allem Drum und Dran ... der hat Zaster.« Dass die Familie des Emigranten Karl Marx mit ihren Kindern von spärlich fließenden Honoraren für Zeitungsartikel lebt, weiß Billy nicht. Trotz der widrigen Umstände schafft es Marx, den Klings auf seine Weise zu helfen.
