Finalmente, tudo o que precisa de saber sobre o Massacre de Nanjing em menos de uma hora! No Verão de 1937, a China e o Japão entraram em guerra. Quando Xangai caiu, o Exército Imperial japonês avançou sobre Nanking e ocupou-a a partir de 13 de Dezembro de 1937: começou um massacre. Assassinatos, violações e incêndios estavam na ordem do dia, fazendo centenas de milhares de vítimas entre soldados, homens, mulheres, crianças e idosos, apesar da organização de uma zona de segurança que acolheu quase 200.000 refugiados. Após seis semanas de derramamento de sangue, em finais de Janeiro de 1938, os refugiados foram obrigados a abandonar a zona de segurança e as atrocidades diminuíram. Hoje em dia, este episódio tornou-se uma questão sensível que levanta tensões diplomáticas entre a China e o Japão.
