Synopsis "Records of Officers and Men of New Jersey in Wars, 1791-1815"
This reprint of an official publication contains the names, with service records, of 10,000 officers and soldiers of New Jersey, both regulars and militia, for the period from 1791 to 1815. The information includes rank, date of enrollment or commission, period of service, date of discharge, and, on occasion, additional remarks such as date of death or place of enlistment. The service records are arranged chronologically according to each of the five military campaigns in which the men took part, with the War of 1812 consuming the greater portion of this work.
