Discussions at the Academy of Sharanas, founded by Basavanna and presided over by Allama Prabhudeva, have been documented in the Kannada vachanas. These vachanas have been incorporated in the Shunya Sampadane texts. Shunya Sampadane is the quintessence of the Veerashaiva Philosophy.
