Like a good reporter, Reed, interspersing poems and blog entries, traces her journey seasonally with humor and good grace from the linden trees of the opening piece to the winter days when "time stretches and thins." One feels as if one is there. Alice Friman is Poet-in-Residence at Georgia College. She is the a recipient of a 2012 Pushcart Prize. Her book, The View from Saturn, is forthcoming from LSU in 2014.
