Synopsis "Tittenhurst Park: History, Gardens, & Architecture"
In 1969 John Lennon paid 145,000 for a massive estate that included a Georgian mansion, a keeper's lodge, servants' cottages, stables, and spectacular grounds that were known as a "museum of gardens." The estate is best known as the location of The Beatles last official photo session. It was also here where John Lennon built the U.K.'s first professional home recording studio, and where John Lennon and Yoko Ono recorded several albums, including Imagine. Ringo Starr purchased Tittenhurst Park in 1973 and rented it out to musicians such as Def Leppard, Whitesnake, Judas Priest and others who recorded there. Come along on an incredible journey back in time, and take a grand tour of the beautiful estate from the 1200s until 1968.
