Synopsis "Treasure Island"

Treasure Island tells the story of Jim Hawkins' boyhood adventure travelling with pirates on a search for buried treasure. It was first published in book form in 1883. This lightly abridged version allows the work to be read more comfortably by contemporary readers by updating some of the language and interpreting some passages more clearly. The precise book design and modern typography further helps readers to enjoy this classic and exciting tale of 18th Century life. The Scottish author, Robert Louis Stevenson, in one of his greatest works gives us fascinating fiction with colourful characters that might very well have existed, in some form at the time.

(Edimburgo, 1850 - Samoa, 1894) Novelista, cuentista, poeta y ensayista británico.
