Frank Reinhold erarbeitet ein Modell zur inhaltlichen Gestaltung und Implementierung digitaler Lernumgebungen in der Mathematikdidaktik am Beispiel der Entwicklung des Bruchzahlbegriffs. Der Autor evaluiert eine digitale Lernumgebung in Form eines iBooks zum Einsatz auf iPads für dieses Themengebiet, die im Forschungsprojekt ALICE:Bruchrechnen entwickelt wurde. Er analysiert die Ergebnisse von 476 Schülerinnen und Schülern am Gymnasium und 245 Schülerinnen und Schülern an der Mittelschule und stellt Implikationen und Handlungsempfehlungen für den Mathematikunterricht und die mathematikdidaktische Forschung vor. Damit liefert die Arbeit einen differenzierten Blick auf die Wirkmechanismen von Tablet‐PCs in der sechsten Jahrgangsstufe und zeigt Wege auf, wie digitale Medien gewinnbringend in den Regelunterricht integriert werden können.
