La crónica real de un padre y su hijo, que cuentan su experiencia en varios campos de concentración franceses tras la caída de la II República, en el invierno de 1939. El padre, José María Lamana, escribió su diario mientras vivió su experiencia en los campos. En 1985, su hijo Manuel recuperó el diario de su padre y decidió añadir el suyo propio, a partir de sus recuerdos y de la crónica de su padre. Un documento histórico, un texto inédito de enorme interés periodístico y literario, un relato muy cercano de gran valor testimonial.
