The records presented in this volume were compiled from early issues of the Somerset County Historical Quarterly and the Genealogical Magazine of New Jersey. These are the earliest surviving baptismal records, running up through 1800. These are records for the following churches: Neshanic Reformed, First Reformed Raritan (Somerville), Readington Reformed, Hillsborough (Millstone) Reformed, Six-Mile Run Reformed, Basking Ridge Presbyterian. Records were previously published in the late 1800s and early 1900s in the Somerset County Historical Quarterly and The Genealogical Magazine of New Jersey. Chapters include: Neshanic (Dutch) Reformed Church Baptisms; First Reformed (Dutch) Church, Raritan (Somerville) Baptisms; Readington Reformed (Dutch) Church Baptisms; Hillsborough (Millstone) Reformed (Dutch) Church Baptisms; Six-Mile Run Reformed (Dutch) Church Baptisms; and Basking Ridge Presbyterian Church Baptisms, 1795-1800.
