Esta obra realiza un análisis de la situación de la Didáctica de la Historia en España. Centrada en la época de la experimentación de la Reforma (años 80-90) para la implantación del nuevo sistema educativo (LOGSE), atiende a las innovaciones que los planteamientos curriculares españoles recogen de otros países, en especial de Gran Bretaña. En definitiva, se traza un panorama bastante reciente de la situación de la Didáctica de la Historia, en el que se muestra cómo los planteamientos básicos no han llegado a cambiar tanto; aunque se revistan de un ropaje formal y novedoso.
