El autor, Víctor Unda, nos invita a conocer en su segunda novela una alucinante relación de amor entre Arturo y Alisa, una complicada historia que se desarrolla en medio de la turbulenta situación política y económica que vivía Chile en los años setenta.Desde el inicio de la novela, vemos cómo Alisa se ve fuertemente influenciada por Madrid, su madre y por la amiga de esta, la gitana Abia, que llevan a cabo un macabro plan para terminar con la vida del joven. Sin embargo, no logran culminar su propósito y Arturo se ve forzado a cambiar de identidad para intentar desenmascarar a estas dos mujeres.
