Synopsis "Tar: A Fable Fractured in Forms"
Tar, a mystical city described in the beginning monologue of Fando y Lis by Alejandro Jodorowsky, is the inspiration for this collection of poetry. Taking snippets of Jodorowsky's monologue, Phillip Godwin creates a world after the dismounting of culture, where man is left to figure themselves and recreate belief. In this story we follow a single child's pursuit for survival. Mixing multiple forms to tell the story, the text brings together new and old forms of verse for the reader to enjoy. Bleak in content, rich in the word. Tar not only shows the talent of the writer, but also presents our world of misinformation and frail dominions.
