Synopsis "The Art of Stickwork: A Study of the Bo & Quarterstaff in Motion"

My version of Stickwork was developed through constant practice, learning, and training since 1977 and includes stealing any good idea that has crossed my path. As a result you will see aspects of many different styles in the style I teach. This is intentional and unapologetic. As far as the mechanics aspect of my style, I use an uneven and traveling grip. There are full definitions in the Definition of Terms section but the simple explanation is an uneven grip is one hand up and one hand down on the stick and a traveling grip means the hands travel or move around the stick through each technique and at times there are two, one, or no hands on the stick. While this may seem unorthodox, it sure is pretty.
