Synopsis "The Impact of Moroccan Feminism on Moroccan political Islam"
This study is an investigation of the impact of political Islam on Moroccan feminism and women's kinesis and mobility in Morocco. In fact, Islamism and feminism constituted two different poles with different orientations and agendas towards Moroccan women's rights. These different orientations and backgrounds have galvanized a quarrel between the two movements around the subject of women. Feminists sought to emancipate women adhering to a western based model. On the other hand, Islamists believed in the necessity of a local paradigm of emancipation which draws from and operates within an Islamic framework.
