Synopsis "The Raven"
The Raven is a narrative poem, it is often noted for musical, stylized, with a supernatural feel. A raven tells of the mysterious visit to a distraught lover, tracing the man's slow descent into madness. The lover, is identified as being a student, is grieving the loss of his love, Lenore. On a bust of Pallas, the raven sits, seeming to further aggravate his anguish with its constant repetition of the word "Nevermore".
