En mayo de 2008 se reunió en Donostia-San Sebastián un elenco de profesores y profesionales del Urbanismo con el fin de explicar las formas de intervenir e impartir la docencia del Urbanismo de los últimos treinta años y despedir al profesor y amigo Xabier Unzurrunzaga. En las ponencias se marcan las claves e instrumentos en la intervención urbana y territorial desde la necesidad de responder a un urbanismo variable desde el planteamiento transversal en sus distintas escalas (territorial-urbana-fragmentos-nuevas centralidades-vacíos e intervenciones puntuales). El resultado de este encuentro se ha recopilado y reflejado en este libro.
