Estudió Economía y es gran amante de la pintura; ha sido ilustradora en una pequeña editorial. Ha publicado varios relatos, uno de los cuales, «La bambina pagana», obtuvo el Premio Gran Giallo Città di Cattolica 2014. Su novela Flores sobre el infierno fue la primera entrega de la serie Teresa Battaglia y vio la luz en Italia en 2018, donde enseguida cosechó un gran éxito. Sus derechos han sido vendidos a la televisión, convirtiéndose en la serie más vista del primer semestre de 2023 en Italia, y ha sido traducida en trece países.
