البحث يتضمن في ثناياه الحديث عن أحكام الاقتناء، متمثلة في مفهوم الاقتناء والألفاظ ذات صلة به وأدلة مشروعية الاقتناء، وحكم اقتناء ذوات الأرواح من الحيوانات بمختلف أنواعها، وحكم اقتناء غير ذوات الأرواح مما يحترزه الإنسان ويدّخره من أشياء عنده ابتغاء حاجة أو ضرورة أو ترفيه، والضابط الفقهي في مسألة الاقتناء، وبعض أحكام الفرعية لهذه المسألة مما لها علاقة قوية بها كزكاة المقتنيات وجريان الربا فيما يُقتنى، مبيناً ذلك كله بآراء أئمة المذاهب الفقهية فيها، وأدلتهم ومناقشتها والرأي الراجح الذي يميل إليه نفسي من ذلك بما تدل عليه الأدلة والقواعد الفقهية في ذلك، وحاولتُ قدر الإمكان ربط شتات هذه المسألة بعضها ببعض، وأخراجها في بحث مستقل سائلاً المولى عز وجل أن أكون قد انتفعت منه وانفعت بما يسره الله تعالى لي من ذلك كله.
