Synopsis "20 Commandments For Parenting A Child With ADHD"

We have lived, witnessed, experienced, and listened to people over the years discussing situations that have come up in their lives. We feel that it was the right time for this book to be written, because of the increase in diagnoses of ADHD in children in our society. Schools, parents and other social service agencies have referred their children to doctors who can help them overcome issues of poor social skills, low self-esteem, hyper-activity, or poor impulse control. The world, as we see it today is a tough road for individuals having a hard time trying to fit into classes, relationships, and attempts to meet daily goals. Today we are experiencing tragedies of people dying for reasons that cannot be explained through religion, common sense, and other information we gather individually to formalize our opinion. We want to speak through the children who inspired us to go forth with this book to communicate their concerns.Parenting is different today than it was several decades ago. We have the different generations of upbringing; the baby boomers, Generation X, Generation Y, Generation Millennium, and so forth. What will the next generation be named? Children are different, food is different, media is different, churches are different, and life is different. Do we need to catch up or do we need to look at the basics and communicate better and love one another. That's what God wants us to do!Let's work together and not against each other in life because it affects our children and the circle of dysfunction continues! Remember, our children are our future!
