Synopsis "30 Weeks to Awesome: Your step-by-step guide to building healthy habits"

This book will make you feel better in just minutes a day. Instead of fretting over the many things you think you should be doing to be healthier, this book does the work for you. Each week over the course of 30 weeks, you will have a small lesson (it will take less than three minutes to read). You will be prompted to choose a focus for the week that is easy for you to implement, and then to do only that for one week. Space is provided for you to record thoughts and progress daily, or as desired. Topics include cravings, choosing foods within a category such as vegetables and healthy fats, and why and how to look introspectively to determine what makes you healthiest and happiest - because it could be different than your neighbor or your spouse. Here is a sample chapter about bioindividuality: Each of us is unique. We respond to foods differently, we each thrive on a different level of social interaction, our bodies do better with different forms of exercise, we enjoy different things, and we all find satisfaction at work in different ways. We also have different genes, different hormone levels, different allergies and tolerances, and different gut bacteria. It would be easy to forget our inherent uniqueness because so many products treat individuals as though we are all the same. This is particularly true of the diet and fitness industry. Ads for the next great diet make it sound as if it will work for everyone. If a friend loses a bunch of weight using one strategy, and then we try it and don't lose weight, we may feel like a failure rather than recognizing that we are just a different person with a different make-up. This concept is the most essential principle to finding the healthiest diet and lifestyle for you. That can be both empowering and frightening. Many of us want to be told exactly what to eat, yet because we are all unique, I cannot tell you what foods will be the best for you, and neither can anyone else. I can and will tell you to eat whole foods, with lots of vegetables and healthy fats. However, if you find that brussels sprouts do not make you feel good after eating them, then you should listen to your body and avoid them (no, this isn't an excuse not to eat them just because you do not like them). Start to experiment to find out which way of eating works best for you. Use this program as a guide, and then trust your body to fine tune your happiest and healthiest life. Continually experiment, as you will change over time!
