Synopsis "A Christmas Dream"
Was it real or was it all a dream? The love of children's books and the Christmas story have combined to tell the story of A Christmas Dream. It is a delightful old-fashioned tale about a Midwestern farm family as they try to continue their Christmas traditions, despite a powerful nor'easter snowstorm moving in. The child has an unexpected visitor on Christmas Eve taking her on an incredible journey where she is to learn the true meaning of Christmas. Simply told and seen through the child's eyes, this age-old story comes to life as the reader travels with her to Bethlehem on that dark, wintry night. The child's scarf plays a very important role, one that will leave you to wonder - could it be real, or as Momma and Papa would say, 'Child, you know it was all a dream.' A Christmas Dream is a story for children of all ages. It's a reminder to each of us why, after two thousand years, the birth of Jesus continues to be celebrated around the world. The author, Bobbie Edwards, is a strong believer in the power of words. "We cannot possibly know how far reaching the effects of our words can be or the influence they could have in someone's life that we may never know." This is Bobbie's second children's book, the first being, "Percy Pelican's Long Journey Home." Both books are Christian based with focus on the family.
