Being surrounded by a large, loving family inspired her to have a beautiful family of her own. When she met and married her high school sweetheart, Ronnie Manser, she could see her dreams coming true. Thirteen years later, Ronnie and Dorothy both had good jobs, a new home, and five children ages 2-12. Dorothy described their life together as, "busy and wonderful!" Dorothy worked part-time as a nurse at a local hospital. Ronnie always said, "It isn't for the money, but you never know when you will need your nursing skills."
