Synopsis "Advantages and disadvantages of integrated language learning"
In the digital world, a variety of approaches have been adopted, implemented, and used to disseminate information to learners around the world. One of the most promising methods of teaching both content and target language is integrated content and language instruction (CLIL). This article discusses the benefits and challenges of successfully implementing CLIL. The focus of the article is to explore the various benefits of using this approach in the ESL classroom and to present issues such as teacher problems and student problems encountered during its implementation. It is suggested that the CLIL approach can lead to improved language proficiency as well as increased student motivation. Thus, it is suitable for students of all age groups and abilities that lead to greater intercultural awareness. The paper concludes with conclusions for teachers, instructors who want to implement this approach in their classrooms.
