Patients have several expectations when they visit a healthcare system. An Healthcare system which meets patients' expectations is said to be Responsive, at the same time, the expectations should be universally legitimate and not frivolous.WHO ranked several countries on the basis of a single score for Responsiveness. This report invited a lot of debate and criticism as it was argued that Responsiveness elements as given by WHO have different priority in different land due to their political, geographical and cultural differences. it was concluded through studies that each country should tailor the responsiveness elements according to its own priorities.current study tried finding applicability and prioritizing the 8 elements of Responsiveness given by WHO to Indian context and also found certain more elements which should be included when measuring responsiveness of Indian Health System.
