Synopsis "Baby Town Tale"

Maxine and Merle live, work, and play in Baby Town where they run their own businesses. Maxine is a master mechanic who repairs both baby carriages and adult automobiles. Merle owns a successful carriage and auto parts store. Join them as they work at their jobs and enjoy life in Baby Town - and be there when one day they experience the most incredible event of their lives. The last pages of the book contain a short story. In "Animals in the Haunted House" a group of elementary school students who enjoy softball after school are detoured from their usual way home one afternoon when it is time to leave the vacant lot where they play. The group is challenged to go though a haunted house. However, they can each take on the form of whatever animal they choose. Those poor ghosts!
