en el balance final sobresalen la sólida obra de eastwood (mystic river), la habilidosa de peter weir (master and commander) y otra muy original, como siempre, de von trier (dogville). se concluyeron dos trilogías «de culto»: el señor de los anillos: el regreso del rey (ésta premiada con once oscars) y matrix revolutions. también destacaron dos películas españolas por diferentes motivos: te doy mis ojos y días de fútbol.
