Synopsis "Darkwood (Classic Reprint)"

It began in 1066. The Norman Army smashed English resistance and conquered Britain. As the armies fell to the Normans, the commoners and farmers rose up against the invaders in defiant and bloody resistance. All who have stood against the Normans have been crushed and trampled. One by one, the people gave up hope and accepted a life of virtual slavery. Out of this time, a band of heroes will emerge. Their fame will bring hope to the oppressed Anglo-Saxon peoples and strike fear into the corrupt hearts of Prince John and his agents. One man shall lead this band -- one man, who carries a longbow and wears a hood... Heavily based on the legends and exploits of Robin Hood, this game is set in the Twelfth Century. Despite being inspired by this people's hero, he is not actually featured in the game, nor is he referenced. Instead, the players' own adventures could eventually be attributed to a Robin Hood, their exploits contributing to a mythology that grows over time.
